Who runs a Civic Seminar?
Seminars are typically facilitated by a Program Manager and Civics Coaches that are highly knowledgeable and well-trained to deliver a high-quality and engaging seminar.
What is the ideal audience?
Civic Seminars are ideal for corporate, community, and academic groups seeking to either incorporate a civic education component into their existing event or as a standalone event. Audience members must be at least 16 years of age, as the concepts introduced require higher-level understanding.
What is usually taught during a Civic Seminar?
The host organization selects from our pre-developed collection of civics-related courses such as Political Parties and Constitution 101. Our staff will then curate a seminar that includes an hour of instruction, an hour of course-related activities, and half an hour of feedback and evaluation.
Does CivicsEDU plan the logistics?
Seminar logistics are coordinated by the host organization. This includes participant registration, accommodations, audio/visual equipment, and furnishings. CivicsEDU will be responsible for seminar materials only including presentations, handouts, and other learning elements.
Is there a cost associated with bringing a seminar to my event?
Yes. We do assess a modest fee for our seminars to support our mission. Fees are determined by a number of factors including date, event type, and the number of participants. Contact us using the form on the screen for more details.
