Last Saturday, the CivicsEDU team came together for their annual retreat, marking a day filled with reflection, strategic planning, and anticipation for the future. With some team members gathering in person and others joining virtually, the retreat provided an invaluable opportunity for the team to reconnect, reenergize, and refocus on CivicsEDU’s mission.
During the retreat, the team discussed a wide array of topics, including fundraising strategies, evaluation methods, and plans to recruit new team members over the next few months. These discussions are setting the stage for a year of growth and impact.
One of the most exciting outcomes of the retreat was the announcement of new programs that are now in the pipeline for the coming year. Among these initiatives is the launch of our newest offering, Civic Seminars. This program will provide in-depth, seminar-style presentations on essential civics topics, designed to engage and educate participants on the workings of government and civic responsibility.
Reflecting on the retreat, CivicsEDU’s Executive Director, Kaelan Boyd, shared, “The retreat was a powerful reminder of the passion and dedication that our team brings to the table every day. We are more energized than ever to expand our reach and continue empowering communities through civic education.”
As we look forward to the year ahead, the CivicsEDU team is excited to implement the strategies and ideas generated during the retreat. With new programs on the horizon and a clear plan for growth, we are poised to make an even greater impact in the communities we serve.
The next team retreat is slated for March 2025. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our work to advance civic education across the region.
